LGBTQIA+ Allied Vendor Guide for Engaged Couples

Why make a vendor list specific for queer couples?

I want everyone to have easy access to safe vendors who share the same values. I haven’t seen any wedding vendor guides that exist for New Jersey or New York that are specifically LGBTQIA+ or inclusive / allied. I struggle with finding them even as a queer photographer in this industry. I wanted to put this together to hopefully help make the planning process a bit easier. The wedding industry still isn’t the best with inclusivity and it is so important to be loud about support. This is something that should exist across the board and I wish I didn’t even have to make this guide. But here’s to working towards a future where that exists.

Why is this important to you?

No one should go into celebrating one of the most magical moments of their life with fear and uncertainty about who will support them. This is about celebrating love, YOUR love. I want your experience planning your wedding to feel similar to the love you have with your support system.

Are you lgbtqia+ allied?

Yes, I am a wedding photographer who is inclusive across the board. I am always working towards maintaining a business that is accessible to anyone wanting to celebrate love and in any form. In my corner of the world, you are always safe and celebrated as you are. I try my best to only work with those who openly celebrate all love. I want you to feel supported, especially as you plan your wedding.

Who’s on this list?

LGBTQIA+ or allied vendors who work in New Jersey or New York (most of these businesses are local to Asbury Park, NJ). I’ve worked with most of these vendors and I highly recommend any of them for your wedding or elopement, they are all incredible. I’ll be adding onto this list as time goes on- and though there are far more, each one listed was intentionally chosen. And if you know any vendors who should be included, let me know. I’m always looking to connect with vendors/people who share the same values.

Hi I’m Jess, I’m a wedding photographer in Asbury Park, NJ.

My style can be described as candid, documentary, dreamy, dark, colorful and vintage.

But what drives me is creating an experience that allows you to live in the moment while encouraging you to celebrate yourself as you are.

Investing in your memories is important work and I am forever honored to be a part of that. Thank you for being here!
